I happened upon this post by accident, but I love the idea. I was trying to think of different superheroes as I was driving in to work. The ones that I thought of that didn't really match the ones you mentioned were Captain Kirk and Robin Hood. Not really superheroes, but I guess they sort of fit. I also came up with Wolverine, but his personality seemed too much like Batman's.

The only disappointing part of this post was that it didn't have my personality type: ENFP.

Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a superhero. :(

Thanks for the great post!

I actually think you could construe Batman to be Bruce Wayne's shadow personality. Of course, it's possible to claim it's actually the reverse as well. But I like to think the way he develops into Batman (intense training, costume etc.) indicates that Batman is a representation of his shadow. He can't fight crime as Bruce Wayne, so he "dons" his alternate personality of Batman.

Fight shadow with shadow, sort of.

I lean toward an I for Obama - in his book Dreams From My Father, he mentions that he often preferred to be alone, especially in his college years at Columbia.

Waw, i am glad to know it.
But i have any question. I had take the test and my result is INTP or ISTP or ISFP (i said 3 type because when i take the test, it becomes different result, or i think i like that). Why my type can be different from time to time? So what is my type?

And then now i am an accountant college student. Indeed accounting is not my favorite subject, it's because of any suggestion from my family (specially my uncle). My favorite subject at that time (when i choose) is about philosophy or mathematics or something like that. Then my question is: Am i in the right position now? Is accounting good for me? What profession is good for me? Is philosophy or mathematic or other or what? What should i do now?

Thankyou and thankyou for your answer...

Hi,

I was participating in a discussion recently and the question of astrological star signs and personalities came up, and we thought that if any such correlation existed, it ought to show up on all kinds of personality tests, including Myers-Briggs.

As an online provider of Myers-Briggs testing, assuming you also collect date of birth data, it seems that you would be in a very good position to settle that question, if you're willing to do so.

A chart of Myers-Briggs types vs birth dates (or aggregated to star signs) would be easy to generate, and IMO would make a good blog post. Would you be kind enough to do this?

Thanks!

I think Obama is an ENFP but he's got ENTJ tendencies which is normal for ENFP's, they change from being a person of charisma and love to a hardball businessman with an steel grip.

Also he was really good at marketing change and this big idea for america and the world which is an ENFP thing to do, also he is really charming.

With Jon Mcain he was a typical ESTP which from an ENFP point of view are impulsive, make silly mistakes and sell some illusion and then fall even before the first hurdle, for example he said he'll be in iraq for the next hundred years and in afghanistan, great for ultra conservatives who are blood thirsty but not for normal americans who care about their economy so to have jobs.

What types make good presidents are ENTP's, ENFP's, INFP's and ENFJ's but also they would need IQ's above 160 because they will need to be book smart and people smart. There are enough well educated idiots out there who want to move into politics.

I LOVE THIS. I am an ENFP and have always been in to super heroes. I have been wracking my brain for who would be the ENFP super hero. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they may be my super hero. :)

[...] Personalitydesk.com had this to say about Superman: Superman/Clark Kent: ESFJ. Sometimes called the Big Blue Boy Scout, Superman follows the rules and takes care of the weak. Like many ESFJs, he sees his role as a protector, and makes sure that the gears of society hum along smoothly and that people have what they need. He’s the least rogueish of the superheroes, and despite the fact that he’s a member of a supercharged alien race, you get the sense that he really just wants to fit in. He’s responsible, he’s traditional, and he’s always there when you need him. [...]
